I maintain servers and enterprise applications from an infrastructure perspective. I'm involved in upgrading two of those enterprise applications at once and I'm on a tight dead line :(

I think Macbook Air sounds kinda stupid. Macbook mini, macbook lite, macbook nano, macbook just about anything other than air.
What if Apple is launching something like its own nationwide wireless network (wifi, not cell), ties into .mac, iphone, itouch etc? Possibly the technology is easily rolled to other countries and that is part of the reason why the foreign press has been invited.
Pure speculation on my part. I have no "inside sources" or a deep throat.

A lot of the times if you don't properly drive a high impedance can, a lot of its sound won't be as tight and crisp as it should, so it's not just the volume output. I remember the first time I heard a high quality tube amp on a HD650 in a store, it was the first time it made a song I really know and like have a bass that sounded like an actual kick drum rather than a soft boom boom noise, I was pretty amazed.Yup, I was really surprised when I started using a headphone amp for the first time. Its a powerful difference.
Anyway, back to the topic at hand. Have you plugged your hd650's into a mbp? How did it sound?

www.keepvid.com or ClickToFlash (though Flash may be needed) does allow downloading YT videos.

I'm on the mac and I was trying DiscAid and iPhone Explorer, PhoneView and all of them are showing that iPhone is passcode locked. I know the passcode but while screen was broken she put this so many times that now it doesn't even let you put passcode it just asks for iTunes.
Hate to be the bearer of bad news but...
If you simply see the 'Connect to iTunes' with a USB plug and the iTunes icon, its more than likely that she had the option to 'erase content after 10 failed passcode attempts' checked when she set up her passcode. By entering the code so many times she may have inadvertently deleted the pics herself... along with everything else.
I hope this isn't the case and that she does get her photos back but if you connect it to iTunes and the only option is to restore there may not be anything left on the phone already...

I guess the eventual goal would be to make it more prominent and linked from various areas (macrumors, macbytes).

The 8800GS in the iMac was a mobile GPU, not a desktop GPU. Even then, the 8800GS was quite a bit behind an 8800GT, never mind an 8800GTS.
A 6770 would be a noticeable upgrade. It's not a 6970, but still a very noticeable upgrade. Though yeah, don't expect to crank at native res on a 27" for new games. Still it's 6 GPU generations ahead of what you had, and the new display has 60% more pixels.
TL;DR: enjoy your upgrade.

I'll post it elsewhere when I get home. I have seen a number of very similar problems that seem to stem from bad wu's so I'll keep trying. It would be my luck though to have the first wu be bad making me think my set up isn't right.

Hey I'm looking into buying a preferably new Macbook or Macbook Pro. I need one soon as I'm moving out for my freshman year of college. The two things I'm mainly concerned about is 500+GB, and 4GB Processor. I was wondering what might be some good places to begin looking for the right laptop.

A bunch of Pippin software, accessories, memory, and about 100 titles.
One day I will unpack and take pictures of them all. :)
