okay. to start off a super long post, who tops my playlist now? and for the coming days or weeks? JUSTIN BIEBER.
and who am i listening to while getting the ball running? BIEBER obviously.
i watched his movie- success story- just this evening with a friend despite the truckloads of piling ASSignment junks. and i was literally STARstruck. OH MY GOODNESS. after complete HOP-disappointment (2 out of 5 stars BLAH), i was sooooooooooooooo stunned by the quality brought on by the xtremescreen and the freaking 3D quality. i admit, this movie will not be half as good in 2D, as his adorable obnoxiousness will not be half as endearing in 2D. imagine this: i was like staring into space as the movie started, with no expectations whatsoever, just to get this done and over with and hope i don't get down with a killer headache by the time i hit home, and BAM. he's there. ON THE STAGE. close up. his hand doing that punk sign right in front of the audience, all boyish smile and twinkling smile. okay, i'm hooked. damn, bless the gods for 3D!
next up, the songs. OH MY GOD. as much as they're GOOD and lovable and full of KYANESS!, how would you feel the clean ring of his voice filling the whole theater? GOSH. it was brilliant. i really felt like screaming like the fan girl i WASN'T, but it's gonna be an embarrassing show of PDA. OH GOD. i couldn't believe it. okay now i feel like my macbook is not doing justice in playing his beautiful voice. WTH?! his voice belongs in live and theaters, not meagre records that are sold retail. DANG.
here's a list of his songs i'm currently hooked on:
-baby
-somebody to love
-one less lonely girl
-eenie meenie
-born to be somebody
-common denominator
-pray
-u smile
-down to earth
(those are almost all his songs. well what can i say, the others are above mediocre too! D:)
his stage presence, for someone so young is brilliant! never seen that kind of polished talent at such a young age! it is brilliant! he was able to manage the whole stage; he exudes the kind of charisma that i think ludacris don't have. his 'aura' (i don't know how else to put this) matches that of usher's! GOSH. imagine! i am currently VERY hooked on usher and his DJ got us fallin' in love and MORE, and now i see him on that one stage with justin?! damn my luck. i feel like not having thanked my lucky stars anywhere near enough. his voice echoed throughout the hall and damn his performance in madison square garden says it all. i mean, even huge singers like gee i don't know, madonna and britney spears and others took more than half a lifetime to be able to accomplish such a feat, if ever. HIM? he's on par with rolling stones and michael jackson in popularity, and that is Awesome. LA Reid (google him if you don't know) even said of how it just doesn't happen!
back to his stage charisma. okay they've got this tradition called 'one less lonely girl', whereby a random girl is picked from the audience to accept red roses from him onstage and to stay there while he sings that one of his hit song to you. i was like GOSH if you were the girl, you'll fall head over heels for him and will NOT be able to get over him for life! it will be schweetness to the max. and it WAS sweetness to the max; he's got no restraint in treating the girl as his own for that one minute at all! kyaaa the charisma <3
uh-mayzing. he's so talented! the movie shows of how from a very young age, he's already shown such talents with instruments and beats. and not to mention his cuteness! it was truly an experience to see his childhood. that kind of a talent doesn't come by all that often at all, and for it to be recognised through youtube, i mean it's just HUGE! he's reportedly the first artist to get such attention from youtube, but behind all those clever marketing, easy smile and glimmery lifestyle, there lies hardwork. i didn't think of it that way at first, i mean, i thought he was a real life cinderella. one or two videos posted on youtube, BAM, hits and hits and hits coming in until a label signed him on. but his efforts to market his songs and persona is huge too. as much as he's a phenomena, there was work involved to get there! it shows in how he was totally into his concerts too! GOD. 86 shows for tour?! damn that's alot! he must be super tired! even i'll be fed up! but he has to post a huge smile and continue as though he's okay and continue to humor fans! i wonder how some people don't see that!
as much as he leads a life of the upper unreachables, out of normal, i can't help thinking of how sometimes he must miss being normal. being able to hang with your friends and doing crazy stuffs without being watchful of lingering paparazzi, to be able to walk the streets, grab a coffee or just scootering through the streets without being recognised. it makes me reach out to him. as much as he may be living a dream, there is always such downsides to everything. and when you have that talent, that charisma, you just don't go around being a nobody. and when he had that throat infection, you tell me how my heart goes out to him!!
what i really love is his obnoxiousness, his boyish qualities. sure, i have heard of him being all snobbish and all that, but that is simply the negative side of his charms. but if you reflect on it again, that is what makes him so irresistable, the why he's got such a large fan-base. his fans can relate to him because he's still so...normal. how he still wants to have a normal life. well, aside from that cute extraordinaire smile and that hair. GOSH there was this one scene that shows his hair, being flicked left and right and how fangirls try to copy his movements and epicly FAILED. LOLS. so soft, his hair! so cute <3
jia you! boy that was born on the 1st of march 1994! (gosh, 20 days after my birthday <3)! the purple lover! usher's matey and one of my inspiration. you dreamt high, though you don't show it, and with more than just strokes of luck grabbed hold onto your lucky stars! good for you! <3 <3 and am considering becoming a belieber (his fan base).....
(okay that was a super long post with a truckload of images ;p)
