Batman: The Animated Series is an award winning animated series that aired between 1992 and 1995. The series featured an ensemble cast of many voice-actors including Kevin Conroy, Mark Hamill, Efrem Zimbalist, Jr., Arleen Sorkin, Loren Lester and many others.
It is based on the DC Comics animated character, Batman.
The series won two Emmy awards (one for Outstanding Animated Program (For Programming One Hour or Less)) and was nominated for nine others.[3]
The show has also been well received by critics and Batman fans alike, who praise the series for its darkness and brilliance.
The series became so popular that it resulted in a spinoff movie, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm which was released on December 25, 1993 under relatively positive reviews.
