Hi everyone, so let me get this straight, when I use Parallel Desktop in my Imac, I have to decide how to split resources{Memory and Cores) between windows and OS X? so if at one point I want Windows 7 to use all 8 gigs of RAm I have in my Imac for a program like Sonar X1, would that make the OS X side slow down or crash completely? sorry about these questions but I'm new to this!
I have an IMac 2.93 GHz Intel Core i7 8 GB Memory 1333 DDR3 running Snow Leopard 10.6.7 and Windows 7 with Parallel Desktop.

The Sun is a disgusting vile rag, not to mention it lies about everything, it represents EVERYTHING that is wrong about this country and represents what i hate about where i live.
this is a letter that was sent to newsagent in 2003 regarding the Hillsborough disaster
Dear newsagent,
You will be aware of the events of 15th April 1989 when 96 innocent men, women and children lost their lives. Four days later the Sun newspaper ran an article under the banner headline The Truth and proceeded to make outrageous claims that the fans had robbed and urinated on the dead, as well as beating up police as they tried to carry out the rescue operation. These allegations have, of course, been proven to be lies. Far from being The Truth the banner headlines should have read The Lies.
The British Judicial Inquiry into the disaster headed by Lord Justice Taylor found the main cause to be The Breakdown of Police Control. Former police sergeant Martin Long was awarded an estimated 330,000 compensation for post-traumatic stress disorder after witnessing the tragedy. By comparison Anne Williams received 3,500 for her dead son Kevin.
The author John Pilger described the treatment of the Hillsborough victims of the Sun The Suns treatment of the Hillsborough tragedy was typical not only of its record of distortion, but of its cruelty. The rich and famous have been able to defend themselves with expensive libel actions; the singer Elton John won damages, before appeal, of 1 million following a series of character assassinations. But most of the Suns victims are people like the Hillsborough parents, who have had to suffer without recourse.
The press complaints commission upheld complaints about the Suns coverage of the disaster and found them guilty of lying, yet following the damning verdict Murdoch still refused to publish an adequate apology for the coverage. Fourteen years after these scandalous lies the Sun has continuously refused to print a front page apology for their disgraceful behaviour, the dead, the bereaved and the survivors still suffer at the hands of that very article. The fight for justice goes on, hampered in the eyes of millions by the lies printed by in the aftermath of the disaster.
Whilst we appreciate that selling newspapers is your livelihood and would not wish to affect that in any way, shape or form, we would hope that you can show some compassion towards those who lost their lives in 1989 and respect those who still fight for justice in their name. On Merseyside this once popular newspaper is now reviled and widely boycotted because of the their treatment of the disaster.
We realise that you are unlikely to be able to refuse to accept deliveries of the Sun newspaper for this day but would hope that you could display the attached notice, perhaps along with this letter, in the hope that we can remind your customers of the monstrosities carried out in the name of The Truth. We would not wish to turn your customers away merely to encourage them to opt for a different newspaper, even if it is only for this one day.
never buy the sun, justice for the 96!

I went to Fashion Valley for the WiFi iPad. I arrived around 11AM on lunch day, walked in and bought one. I asked the Manager of the Genius group, what their stock was like. He told me they had hundreds available at 11AM. Further he said Fashion Valley is the lead Apple Store in San Diego, and as such receives the largest stock of any new Apple product.
I have purchased from Fashion Valley all 3 iPhone models on their launch day, and in each case they had a very large display.
I'll be at Fashion Valley.
Cool, Hopefully they'll have enough 3G iPad's to go around. :D

You can still add Keywords easily to photos or groups of photos same as you could in older versions of iPhoto if you open the Keyword manager first (command+k). Select the photo or a group of photos and click on the Keyword from the list of Keywords. Another way is to put a check mark next to Keywords under the View menu and then use the show "Info" button at the bottom of iPhoto, this will let you select photos and type in a Keyword where it says "Add a keyword...."

When in Safari (5.0.5), the browser automatically shows as Internet Explorer 4.0 (while using the Develop: User Agent: Default (Automatically Chosen))
When I got to Develop: User Agent: Safari 5.0.5 Mac then it shows that I am using Netscape 6.0!
Why is the User Agent different than the one I've chosen? I have a online Banking site that checks the browser and doesn't support the old Netscape and Internet Explorer browsers. So I end up just choosing different ones until the website finally loads properly.
How can I get it to show as Safari 5.0.5 Mac all the time?

How about creating a forum for naive clueless people to post wistful optimistic and incredibly misguided or ill-informed speculation about the G5 Powerbooks coming next week? (And the week after that, and after that).

How in the world did this happen?
I was trying to send to trash the final clips of an event and then imoive crashed. when I started it up again there were no longer any clips at all in the events folder.
In the imovie video cache however are lots of files, including a quicktime file that plays the full event, but with no sound.
How can I put this movie back together again in imovie? help!!

Belief in Conspiracies Linked to Machiavellian Mindset (http://www.miller-mccune.com/culture-society/belief-in-conspiracies-linked-to-machiavellian-mindset-30295/)
These studies suggest that people who have more lax personal morality may endorse conspiracy theories to a greater extent because they are, on average, more willing to participate in the conspiracies themselves.
The theme of the conspiratorially-minded television series The X-Files was trust no one. Perhaps it should be amended to read: Trust no one especially devoted fans of The X-Files.
It's a rather timely study. So, we know that those who crow "conspiracy" the loudest are probably conspiring at that very moment.

PoerBook G4 17" Tiger
Some of my character key are not working i.e. ' " and the reverse of { [
sometimes my back/delete key does not work.
Is this a mechanical fault of my laptop or is it the software or system?
Thank you
Bernard
It is most likely your keyboard. my iBook has the same problem with the m, and the number after 8. I have a sticky that is always open with those on them, then I just copy and paste what I need.
You can get a new keyboard on ebay fairly cheap.

I have a 2007 MacBook and I've noticed how much crap I have under the keybaord. One of the keys has also become a bit weird. It feels like it won't press down properly.
Is there anything I can buy to safely clean it?
