Nice to see they retained the firewire ports for dinosaurs like me who still have audio interfaces and camcorders that rely on it. :) Lurvely!

I have an external Mac display cerca 2008 with a the apple display port that I hook to my Macbook. When I got a revamped mac book I had to buy a mini display adapter to use it.
I want to get a the new iMac, and want to use my external display still. But I haven't been able to find info on Mini/Display port to Tunderbolt.
I know half the charm of these thunderbolts is running HD video from an external drive and separate monitors. But I haven't found what I'm looking for.

I think it is as a whole, I just find it interesting that that desk tops are declining, Is this world wide or just for Apple and if it is just for Apple then they are doing something wrong in this part of their business.

Actually it is because a 2 year old iPhone is better than any Android device out there.
We all know the iPhone 4 is streets ahead of any other smartphone, but the 3GS provides a superior experience as well. It is not about spec sheets, it is about performance, software, reliability and the rest.
I agree with others that it is very telling that the 3GS outsells every single android iPhone on the market. That tells me people just buy random Androids when they go to buy a phone because they are cheaper or on deal, or if they don't have a choice to get an iPhone.
It is not like the general consumer is going "Wow this HTC magicamalcallit is so awesome. I tell all my friends to get it." or "This Samsung Soslightynotasbad is really an awesome phone and people are eating them up."
They might as well not even put labels on android phones. They are essentially a commodity compromised of a big pile of iPhone copycats with an inferior ecosystem. It almost seems like Cell Phone stores require people buying android devices to do so blindfolded.

It has gone now, but I found it interesting that it was listing this for my Universal iOS game TiltStorm. It has touch and accelerometer control options, so it wouldn't be suitable as is for a touch control Mac. It is also a portrait orientated game, so isn't going to fill a widescreen monitor.
I think there will be much tighter iOS - OS X integration with Lion. I wonder if it will mean it can run iOS apps, possibly in a virtual environment, with an iOS device acting as the controller. All it would need is an Apple app on the device. The Mac sends the screen image to the device so that you can see where to touch, etc. And gets the control inputs in return.
There would be several benefits. You can run the app at a larger size on the Mac screen. Older devices could possibly run apps at full speed as the bulk of the work is offloaded to the Mac. And you could access all apps in your App Store library while in wi-fi range.

Sure we are all making jokes about Sheen and his antics. Lets not forget 2 other notable comedians that were huge drug users that showed warning signs, Chris Farley and John Belushi. Sheen is in huge denial and will most likely kill himself at some point.
I was loosely acquainted with Chris Farley up until his death. It was the saddest thing to watch. Everyone around him was in denial or had just given up. He did try to straighten up for a while right before he died. His last David Letterman appearance alarmed me, and I asked some of his friends about it. They were in complete denial that Chris was on drugs on the show, even though it was quite obvious- Letterman keeps his studio in the mid 60s temperature-wise, and Chris was sweating bullets. I asked a friend of his who was assisting him during that show what happened, and she denied that he had done any drugs. Shortly after, he was dead.
Chris was not my favorite person. He was extremely rude and abusive when he was using. In that short time he was clean before he died, he tried to be really nice to me, but I wasn't having it and was rather curt. Looking back, I don't think I should have done that. I think he was maybe really trying, but I was not close enough to him to know and he had pissed me off enough at that point that I doubted his sincerity. It was a definite case of people around him just not knowing what to do. He had a very sweet, charming, supportive family.

Iv'e had both good and bad luck with Hitachi, Seagate and WD. Currently installing the Seagate Momentus XT 500GB drive :D So far it's silent! All my Hitachi's have been clicking. Although last year I purchased a Seagate drive and it clicked very badly so..

alright! and i am going to give the bigadv units another shot. but it's not looking good right now - just under 43 min for my first 2 frames. not sure what's going on. i've gotta install some updates on ubuntu and see if that helps
