mac is about sharing your creativity with the ones you love. In this era of myspace and mmorpg's do we need a nother form of social interaction with no physical interaction. I still think that istations are a good idea. I would like to be in line at the store and see a girl listening to ipod, and i see her ilisten light on, so I check out her playlist, though this is a lot like myspace, at least you have the ability to walk over and say "hey :) ,i love your station. I see from your event list that the band (...) is playing this fri. would you like to go with me :cool: " Yes stalkers are inevitable, but this could be pretty cool.

Strange. I could have sworn I'd heard the Rolling Stones weren't on iTunes yet. Personally I HATE them, that's why I never checked.

Of the big bands, only AC-DC, The Beatles, Frank Zappa and Led Zepplin. Radiohead actually has two songs on iTunes.

I love voice control. But the robustness of the headphone/microphones seems lacking. Seems if they decide to tought this feature, they should improve the build and make them more sweat/water resistant,

People don't care about Flash Player itself, they just want the ability to play video in the browser, which the iPhone is perfectly capable of doing. So instead of lobbying Apple for Flash support we should be lobbying web developers for video tag support.
Developers aren't the problem. A lot of it is Internet Explorer and Microsoft not supporting standards. For one, IE doesn't do much html5. Microsoft will probably never support the svg-based "flash killer" canvas tag. Also, due to bickering on all browser makers, HTML5 doesn't specify a mandatory video format so you have Apple doing mpeg-4, Firefox and friends doing ogg, and IE supporting nothing. And let's not forget users who still run IE6.
Out of the box, most Windows machines don't know how to play MP4 files (unless a user has QuickTime) but most do play flash content. Mac OS X won't play ogg out of the box. So you're left with Flash. As a web developer, Flash is the easiest way to get multimedia, especially video, on your website and looking the same in all browsers. It's not like they are just going to stop selling DVD's from certain studios. People who want to buy a DVD that Walmart doesn't stock will just go to Best Buy or buy them from Amazon.
I don't see how Walmart has much bargining power here without shooting themselves in the foot.

I like Flash video, but find flash interfaces and text presentations dreadful. No matter how pretty they look, they feel forced and inaccessible. I just want to get back to web page ASAP. Is there a way Adobe could make a light Flash phone plugin just for video?

I would pay 250. For somethings, Windows is the only viable OS. Like the commercial says, Macs are good for fun stuff, but PCs are for working.
Those prices are just crazy... Who the %&## will pay $250-$400 for a Win OS??? Especially since you know you will need additional anti-virus/spyware...
If this is true, M$ just shot themselves in the foot. There are viable OS alternatives today that are both better and cheaper.
This could be the fat lady's que for her her swan song.
What are the other viable alternatives? OSX and ????????

What? How to do that? This is likely a buffer overflow exploit where a small part of the driver gets overwritten with hacker-incerted code, this code then runs inside the kernel at that point nothing can be done.
They will have to fix the defect that alowed the buffer to overflow. No other option.
This really shows the value of Open Source. So many peopl have loked for this type of stuff in Linux and other OSes that I'm sure most of it is been found and fixed but closed souce drivers are so hard to examine that there could be a hundred more of these waiting to be discovered.

Otherwise, yes, simply 5-10 minutes on the net can yield you the full CS Suite and all the major plug ins. I think the total available in that time is about $3,500.

Thanks for the kind words! I've only been really shooting for a year so I've been trying to get out and shoot as much as possible. I try to post a bunch and get as much criticism as possible to help me improve. It's nice when someone really likes a shot!

Nice work with the new flash, I really need to get one, shows what messing with light can do! did you bounce the flash off anything? what lens did you use? your getting fantastic shots out of that little camera man, I had one for a year before getting my t2i. Anyway, keep up the good work, your portraiture work is great :)

I was knee deep in the water- the lens w/ body combo E-5 is weather sealed.Does well even with a 2x teleconverter, which on Olympus makes 400mm = 800mm in 35mm equivalent.. perfect surf setup imo. Here's one wide open with the t/c, original resolution after crop.

as long as basic features like
-a real copy-paste throughout the entire system
-and a more open file system
-and real printing capabilities
-and video out for all apps
-a better notification system
-a better switching between "multitasked" apps
are missing I don't care about some voice feature or an AI system.
