As for the guy in the video, he's really the only one out there that I have seen that is so vocal about the ineffectiveness of E.I. I suspect that he is either someone that:
a) Is just out to make a quick buck off his book;
b) Has a grudge;
c) Has remorse about things that he has done and is trying to make amends.

You don't pay for updates, Tweetie 1 had 7 free updates. Updates within the 2.0 version number will also be free. Same as EVERY piece of software for the desktop.
exactly - people don't realize this yet with iphone apps because it's still relatively new and most apps get minor updates for free - very few have done a complete version revision of their software. probably over the next year, this will become more common and people will figure this out and quite whining.
but then again...people love to complain...but over $3 - seriously come on people...

Of course it's for the protection of the public, but it's also not supposed to be a pleasant experience, it's supposed to suck. If you don't think that, i don't know what else to tell you, you're just too separated from reality at this point to turn back.
And you, on the other hand, are arguing that anything apart from death doesn't "suck" enough. If that's the case, why don't we return to beheading with a sword, or drawing and quartering? Surely the worst criminals "deserve" to die an excruciating, grisly death, just like their victims?

I hate AT&T with a passion. Yet, I'd never switch to Verizon because I'm hooked on 3Mbps + speeds. They're the crack of carriers.
AT&T is the worst company I have ever had. We dropped them 6+ years ago for a reason. They always tried to get away with charging a little extra on the bill.. Your a bajillion dollar company and you have to scam people out of extra money? Rot in HELL!

It's certainly not as sleek as before but that's my first impression. Not quite as professional looking and the UI is almost 'overdone'.

What if the rumored mapping or phone stuff that might be part of Leopard is only for .Mac users?
.Mac users can call people from their computers or get .Mac Earth or something similar.
Also, iCal needs to go online (add, edit, etc. from the Internet), storage needs to go way up, etc.
Give me something AOL and Google don't.

Many forum members here in the past have claimed that these methods also fall under the classification of torture, so what if information obtained using these methods led to the death of O.B.L.?It would simply indicate a failure of intelligence, and would invalidate any trial evidence. There's been reports of battery issues to. I haven't tested it myself, but it seems like I'm getting less battery life since 4.3.1, which is what many others have been saying. I don't know how widespread this isssue is, though.

My sincere congrats to all of the new Mods
I for one have enjoyed and profited from all of your posts in the past, and look forward to your greater involvement in the Forum. I think each of you will grow in your influence and impact on the site. Each of you has your own strengths in what you offer to the site. My observations are that E is often first on the scene and the quickest to respond, which should help to keep the board clear of unwanted junk. Nermal is always very informative and helpful. I have learned a lot from his posts. bousozoku is very conscientious about the board and its posters. He looks out for all of us and helps to make the site user friendly and a place that we can all feel welcome. WinterMute seems to offer a combination of all of the above, and will compliment the rest of the cast. Others may see things differently, but that has been my personal experience with them. The believe the mods have shown wisdom and foresight in their choices.
For those that are worried about E, I for one feel like the trust placed in him is warranted at this time. While he has a playful side that is sometimes seen as overbearing, his energy and passion for the site is clearly evident. I believe his new position will temper that somewhat, and we will see his zeal and energy directed for the good of the site. If not, I have faith that Arn, Doctor Q and Mr. Anderson will know how to handle anything that arises. But I have every confidence that their trust in E will prove to vindicate their wisdom. For any who would "bait" E now, I think the greater evil is yours.
I'm sure that there are others that were considered, and had much to offer, but for whatever reason (time on the board, "too nice" or whatever) the mods have made their selections. I hope nobody is personally disappointed in not being included. After all, the point of the board is to contribute to the community and enjoy the fellowship. I rarely get to poke my nose in here anymore, and I have to tell you, I miss it greatly.
On a side note, I for one have always enjoyed your 'tars Sun Baked, and don't really understand the criticism of them. Perhaps I've missed some along the way (and yes, I did see the 'milk' tar and thought it was clever). I also enjoy your witty responses. You can usually say in one line what it would have taken me a paragraph... and you say it better.
Anyway, congrats to all, and I hope you take good care of the board. Hopefully one day I'll get to spend more time here again.

No, but I think the word 'me' does have negative connotations such as narcissism and self centeredness. That is my beef with it. The last word I want someone to associate with my name is 'me'.
I agree. I wish I could have kept hold of my old mac.com address but alas I was getting so much spam and crap I terminated my account and set up a new one. Have my own domain with webmail and mail forwarding so I don't have to use me.com professionally.

Is it possible to put someone on your ignore list only for certain forums. Basically, I would like to be able to ignore certain posters in the PRSI but still see their posts in other forums as they aren't bad outside of the PRSI. Is this possible at all?
