I just updated to 4.3.1 and it was flawless! I will get back with y'all if it fixed the battery issue.

So even though I have a MBP and not a PB I can probably get a new battery as well by changing the serial numbers despite what is really on my battery.
1) The MBP doesn't use the same batteries.
2) If you don't return your defective battery they will charge you.
You sure you want to do that?

I'm guessing he got the MBP before the iPad. And, the 13 inch MBP can do a lot more than an iPad, while being more portable than the 15".
Oh of course, still seems a little redundant though.

There are many possibilities for the graphics of the Macbook. The GMA950 is at about the end of the road. Maybe we'll see Intel's X3000. If not, one of Nvidia's or ATi's integrated solutions would be nice.
I hope we see the Intel X3000 in the next MacBook. The GMA950 is crippling the MacBook and Mac Mini; it offers mediocre 3D performance, requires a portion of system memory and does not support widescreen resolutions for composite output. The X3000 would not solve the memory issue but it will improve 3D and maybe support widescreen analogue output.

Sounds great. Better than carrying a real book around (*assuming you don't run out of batteries ).
There are ebook readers for PDAs and Smartphone - there's no reason why it shouldn't work with iPods.
Good progression of the iPod.

I do. Bought a sd card two weeks ago and headphones this past Sunday. Only one in the store both times so...

1.83GHz 17" iMac - $1549
2.00GHz 17" iMac - $1849
2.16GHz 20" iMac - $2299
2.16GHz 24" iMac - $2999
3GB RAM upgrade is $1400
That's a bit higher than I'd thought for the 24" model, I was thinking about $2599 but ah well.
Off to check out edu prices.
EDIT - Edu prices more reasonable:
1.83GHz 17" iMac - $1393.70
2.00GHz 17" iMac - $1664.30
2.16GHz 20" iMac - $2069.10

Strangely, the iTunes update was the best thing to come out of the announcements for me today.
Updated regular iPods- Meh
Updated iPod Nanos-Why didn't they just come out with a flash based Mini last year?
Updated Shuffle-New form factor..nothing really new though...
Selling Movies-BLAH...Too expensive and no rental option...who cares
iTV-Somewhat interesting but without cheaper movies/rentals I'm not sure I would use it. I don't know that I want to rip all of my DVDs to take advantage of it.
iTunes Update!!!-Woohoo! Many of the complaints of users are addressed and several slick new features! Probably the best iTunes update in two years IMO!!

God gave the law in the old testament to serve a specific purpose at a specific time to a specific people. From a theological stand point it's purpose was to show that no amount of work or good behavior can bring one to God. The law serves to highlight our separation from God in that none of us can measure up. The wages of sin are death and thus under the law death was the punishment. Under the new covenant Christ's death has paid the price of sin and we no longer need to live under the law.
Then why bother with the Old Testament? Seems to cause a lot of problems.

I was quite bummed out about no core 2 duo announcement. Can anybody tell me which, if any, pc companies are shipping with core 2 duo yet? Is this possibly going to be a silent release, and is it perhaps still happening in August or are we in for another long wait?

It has been a year an a half or more since the 60GB iPod was released and over a year since we've been hearing about an 80GB version. I know i am in the minority who wants a larger one. Me for music only but I assume you video people will need more memory eventually anyway. Hey how about a 100GB version! I never jumped to the iPod video since they never expanded it's memory...

Call out the instigators
Because there's something in the air
We've got to get together sooner or later
Because the revolution's here, and you know it's right
The question is, who is Apple getting together with and what will it bring us?

The secular bible might come off as a silly idea. But i've often pondered what i will tell my kids when the day comes and they ask "some people in my class are christian and some are jewish, what are we?" Kids hate feeling excluded, so i feel like saying we don't have a religion wouldnt go over well because they really don't understand what it means.

Thinkpads are built incredibly well.
I know what you're saying though, MOST windows laptops are crap.
This... my T410 kills.
My Dell 1525 is what it is... a cheap laptop that has actually held up very well. Surprised me even. I expected a year to a year and a half tops out of it. Short of the track pad issue that Dell promptly replaced, it still looks brand new.

I can't believe they are going to start to sell the ipad2 at radio shack, and they haven't improved on my ship date of 4 to 5 weeks. You would think that they would take care of the ones that allready paid full price for theirs. I guess they need the interest that they are getting by holding on to everyones pre-paid orders through their own apple store.:(:(

iPad 3 - iPad 3D
I could really see that, with the iPhone 3G (it was actually the 3rd phone) and had 3G.
Smart this one is, yes.
Besides, it will be user selectable. You can have Retina with or without 3D. :apple:

[It should be prety clear to most people that an iPod with a screen large enough to read would be WAY to large to cary around on a belt clip and use as a music player.
It would be hard to make a good book reader. Even the screen on the Mac Book is not nearly as good as a printed page and I can't image a MB like screen on an iPod
What I'm waiting for are the "iGlasses". It is a display that look like a pair of eye glasses. Some kind of projector is built into the frame.
