anyway, i simply wanted an alternative page to direct specific ad runs to as opposed to a blog posting. and while you may not find a coldplay ad interesting - 22,000 other people did. :)

can you be more specific on what you mean by "replacement iphone" please?
is it a refurbished iphone, or did they give you a brand new iphone?

You could certainly make an application that is mostly HTML5/Javascript, that was the way that Apple originally intended for the iPhone 1. For webapps hosted externally you don't even need Xcode or a Developer license, but you can wrap a webapp into a "regular" app and then you would.

Yes, many times they correlate with good phones, but for the vast majority, 5MP is plenty. Its about about the quality of other parts of the camera, so yes the Nokia N8 has a 12MP camera, but its not the 12MPs that makes it so great, its that Nokia used a quality high end parts.(my understand of camera tech is limited)

I think Adam Iser and Evan Schoenberg and the rest of the Adium gang deserve some serious props here....outside of the apple aps, firefox, and MS Office, Adium is my most used piece.

Good thing you reminded me about the mall opening time, I was thinking we would be able to line up outside but since my local Apple Store is in a mall we will only be able to start lining up once the mall opens, right?

So I have often wondered why this happens. Some fonts (including Candara) shift the baseline (or something) of some numbers and I have no idea why. Does anyone know why? I have attached a photo so you can see what I mean..

I wish I could get a free iMac! Even the first generations still pop up on craigslist and sell for $50 here. Haha, also makes me feel old... I remember in Elementary School when they introduced those machines and we got a lab of them to replace PowerMac 5200s... ahh how time changes.

It occurs to me that I see all kinds of threads about 'hackin' or upgrading a Mac that is 8 or more years old so that it can run with the latest software.
It's interesting because these machines are still working well enough to want to do this to.
How many threads do you see about PC users wishing to do the same?

Aye, it seems a shame to force iOS developers to update their machines (admittedly old machines, but still) to coincide with a new desktop iOS - but I guess that's the case with such a closed development environment.
It'll be a Mac Mini for me I imagine :) Still I also suspect I could run Xcode 4.0.x on a Snow Leopard machine for some time before it became a real issue...Hmmm...just timelining lol

17 form factor is killer. People always tell me it is to big....Cool don't get one. I used it easily for travel to Europe and on the road. No problem. The new one with better graphics card and 30% faste CPU thne mine is looking pretty desirable...Might hold out for dual core on the 12th of never.LOL

I got my 10.5 yesterday, but I still want to go to the apple store near my office (it's only a block away). Do you guys think they will be giving the free stuff to only people who buy leopard, or does anyone in the crowd get one? I plan to buy a new bag and some accessories for my MacBook.

This is not true. the ICE works with several after-market brands like Sony, Kenwood, Alpine, etc. If you had one of these in your car, and got a new one, you would merely have to move the radio to the new car.
True, but the problem I have is then my steering wheel controls would not work unless I go out and spend another $200 on a solution for that too, plus the cost of an aftermarket stereo. Gets really expensive really quick.
It probably is a little more complicated than just swapping out the cable, I bet the controller unit on the ICE-Link is programmed specifically for the car's factory head unit. Maybe the Monster one will be a little more flexible.
