If the US signs the United Nations Convention Against Torture, and then admits using "enhanced interrogation" methods as part of its policy in the "War on Terror", then there is a double standard. We are either advocates of torture, or we are not.
Until advocates of "enhanced interrogation" grow a pair and start calling it torture, which is what it is, there is no point in even having a discussion on the subject.

Hmmm. I think I figured this one out. It's Apple. Apple makes Macs. All new Macs have Airport. Macs are plugged into the Internet. iPhones are made by Apple. Apple controls the default settings on Mac OS X.

Sweet. But, there's more to just piggybacking on your mac's airport connection to make calls. I think more has to be done to make this networking possible.

Nice idea, but you can't really read the text. It's probably clear to most people what you're doing, but the font and size of the "Mac Rumors" isn't clear enough.

Hey guys,
I've been searching around a few forums including this one but can't seem to find the exact information i require.
I currently have a 16bg 3gs with iOS 3.1.3 and the baseband version 05.12.01 that I jailbroke using Spirit.
I was wondering whether was any way I could update the OS to 4.1x or higher without losing the jailbrake? If so, how can I go about it? I unfortunately purchased a copy of Infinity Blade before realizing that it required 3.2.

Yea the last one was ridiculous, and crazy overpriced for what it was -the 4cyl was quoted around $30,000 and didn't have automatic *anything*, the seats felt like park benches, and it didn't have any of the nice interior features the 6cyl that cost 35+ did.
It had cool trunk hinges and tail lights, though. And that 2.0T is a neat engine (I'm sad they are launching the 2011 with a 2.5.. wtf?!)

Its only BBC iPlayer and TVcatchup.com. Youtube is better but still glitchy
For iPlayer use iPlayer Grabber (http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/29604/iplayer-grabber) which will allow you to directly download the streams that you can later delete. Once you have the file on your drive use the G4 optimized Mplayer I created this (http://forums.macrumors.com/showthread.php?t=1129727&highlight=) thread to share. Be sure to set the Mplayer preferences the way I show there for best results.
I will look into a tvcatchup solution. Does it use flash? If so then Firefox with the FlashGot extension should do the trick to download them and then use Mplayer like the iPlayer videos.
As for youtube I am shocked you have not heard of Mactubes (http://www.macupdate.com/app/mac/28608/mactubes). Simply set the player setting in preferences to Quicktime and it will play youtube without even breaking a sweat. The fact that there is no need to go to the site or download the videos first makes it practical and also makes a new user experience without the ads and comments. You can see comments in video info though.

If you are commenting on what you do, then its people like you that make the studios demand limits on legitimate customers like me.
Imagine buying a car but the manufacturer keeping the wheels when you are not using it. Its stops car theft, but its a pain in the ass for the user.

in the middle of way open area at Union Square Park in NYC had 2 dropped calls. Customer services response? Install app on iphone that lets us know where your call was dropped. Sure let me do your work, and pay for that privalage.

Thanks for the input. can I ask, is the temp drop compared to Arctic Silver or the original paste?
yeah, sorry for not being clear. already had been getting decent temp drops when using arctic silver over standard paste, and then saw an additional drop when i started using mx-2.
took several systems apart, removed arctic silver, installed mx-2 and had a couple to several degree drop on the same system so could say it was the paste as everything else stayed the same. best of luck.

This is another reason why I will likely just transfer my number to Google Voice for $20 + cancellation fees without losing my number. Currently my cost would be about $100 total for the change on top of a contract price of $299 (for 32GB model), so $399 instead of $549.

i bought the season pass for Chuck season 4, and ep12 said it was ready to download. after it downloaded and i started watching it. it was ****** Pretty Little Liars instead!! WHAT THE HELL?! not happy. Is it other people as well or just me? :confused: get back to me soon.

I know that this is out of left field but does anybody know if switiching from a 1400 family plan to a 700 family plan but still paying over $100 in monthly charges affect the yearly updgrade for the primary line.
I'm looking to downgrade as I have over 7000 roll over minutes and save $20.00 but I wouldn't be worth it if I lose my yearly upgrade.
