Now this is interesting and its something I have thought about a lot. It all comes down to brand identity.
If you built cars for a living and your company was called iCars, but you then branched out into logging and medical care. iCars would seem a very confusing name for your company and would be detrimental to your brand. A new name that encompasses all your endeavours (Mobile Tree Surgery) would best promote your business from there on in.
Renaming iTunes would be a very good business move at this time. More exposure and clearer focus.

Gotta agree with you there... I heard about this story via word of mouth from an acquaintance. I searched for it, and "The Blaze" was the top and most reputable looking story.

Yeah, Pixar pretty much wins every year except for Cars and Monsters Inc. There was not a category for animated film when Toy Story and Toy Story 2 were released.
This year Toy Story 3 was nominated for Best Picture also, which is a big deal since that's only happened three times for an animated film (Beauty and the Beast, UP and Toy Story 3).
Jobs actually went to the Oscars last year for UP.

An example is the U2711, it uses the same panel as the iMac and ACD 27" but it's cheaper than the ACD and has HDMI, displayport, DVI, VGA inputs, as well as having around 6 USB slots. The main difference is that it is anti-glare coated, so not reflective like the ACD. It's also CCFL backlit, which isn't as power efficient as LED, although provides a wider range of colour.
The U2711 is actually not cheaper than the ACD. It's $100 USD more. ($1099)
Unless of course Dell has it on sale, then it'll normally drop to about $799-$899.

I hate to say it, but that doesn't look too far off actually. The Pismo is highly desirable as the last PowerBook with modular expandability and an excellent keyboard. It doesn't have a full 1GB of RAM or a G4 daughtercard, but it's not the idiotic buy that everyone seems to think it is. There are a lot of Pismo die-hards out there.

I know people have been doing white conversions for months using knock-off parts. Now that the REAL THING exists, are there any places selling the real OEM parts? I held off on doing my conversion because I didn't want knock-off crap. I want to buy the real thing! Help?

no difference in the function... i guess apple removed the logo because now macs do more than mac os x. as we can run windows it would definitely look out of place... having said that i liked the logo myself...
